In a way, yes. The main idea of MorrowApp is to be a social platform without artificial engagement and short-form addictive content. Like Instagram without Reels or YouTube without Shorts. You can still share and interact with content, but the algorithms are different. The focus is on more intentional, meaningful use, not just to chase attention or scroll because you're bored.
Will it help me to block/delete short-form content on my phone? ↓
If you choose MorrowApp as your main social network, you won't see short-form videos in your feed. It doesn't block other apps on your phone, but it gives you a social space without Shorts, Reels or TikToks.
Why is everything short-form content now? ↓
Because it's profitable. Large platforms invest heavily in addictive content to keep users on the app longer and show more ads. But hey! MorrowApp is different!
How do you control AI content? ↓
We use our own models to detect whether a post, photo, or video is AI-generated. We don't remove this content, but we don't promote it to users who have opted out of AI content.
How do I get myself to stop doomscrolling? ↓
It requires a lot of self-discipline and willpower — resources that are often missing when you're anxious or upset. It often needs external help from the apps you use every day. We, the founders of Morrow, same people, struggle with this too. We know that time limits on TikTok or Instagram are easy to ignore, so we developed an unavoidable lock that pauses content without blocking your friends' messages.
