1. Overview
MorrowApp is a social app that lets users create profiles, publish posts and other user-generated content, view home and discovery feeds, interact with posts, save and share content, follow or subscribe to other users, and report content or users.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information MorrowApp collects, how that information is collected and used, when it may be shared, how long it may be retained, how account deletion works, and the choices and privacy rights available to users.
MorrowApp is currently offered without ads, in-app purchases, paid subscriptions, or other monetization. We do not sell personal information and do not use personal information for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
If we introduce monetization, advertising, paid features, analytics, new authentication providers, business tools, or materially different uses or disclosures of personal information in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required by applicable law, provide notice or obtain appropriate consent before the new processing applies.
2. Who is responsible for your information
For personal information collected through MorrowApp, Kateryna Zakharova is the operator responsible for deciding how and why personal information is collected, used, disclosed, retained, and protected.
Questions, complaints, access requests, correction requests, deletion questions, and other privacy inquiries may be sent to privacy@mrrwapp.com.
We use third-party infrastructure and service providers to operate MorrowApp. Those providers may process personal information on our behalf or, in some cases, independently under their own terms and privacy policies.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Account and authentication information

- account type, such as personal, creator, or business;
- Clerk user ID, authentication status, and related account identifiers;
- account creation, sign-in, session, and security information.
Your password is handled by Clerk. MorrowApp is designed not to store your plaintext password.
3.2 Profile information
Depending on what you choose to add to your profile, we may collect:
- full name or display name;
- profile photo or avatar;
- bio;
- profile privacy setting;
- contact fields you choose to add, such as website, phone number, address, or other contact information;
- topics of interest;
- follower, following, subscription, and subscriber relationships.
Do not add sensitive personal information to your profile unless you understand that it may be visible to other users according to your settings and the features you use.
3.3 User Content and interactions
We collect content and activity that you create, upload, publish, comment on, save, share, view, or otherwise interact with through MorrowApp, including:
- article and text posts;
- captions and summaries;
- photos, videos, thumbnails, previews, and related media metadata;
- comments and replies;
- post topics or categories;
- saved collections and collection names or descriptions;
- likes, saves, shares, reposts, follows, subscriptions, views, and seen-post status;
- other user-generated content or interaction data made available through the Service.
3.4 Reports, moderation, and safety information
When you report content or another user, or when content is reviewed for safety, moderation, legal, or policy reasons, we may collect or create records such as:
- the reported post, account, or content identifier;
- report category, reason, description, and supporting details;
- the reporting user's account identifier;
- moderation notes, review status, decisions, and enforcement history;
- records reasonably necessary to prevent abuse, repeat violations, fraud, threats, or unlawful activity.
3.5 Technical, device, and security information
We and our service providers may automatically process technical information such as:
- IP address;
- device type, operating system, and app version;
- request logs, network information, and timestamps;
- authentication tokens, session information, and security identifiers;
- error logs, crash information, and debug information where collected;
- security signals used to prevent spam, fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and misuse.
3.6 Local device storage
The app may store limited information locally on your device, such as account cache, session information, app preferences, and temporary content needed for app functionality.
Local data may remain on your device until you log out, clear app data, uninstall the app, or the operating system removes it. Depending on your device and backup settings, local data may also be included in device backups controlled by you or your platform provider.
3.7 Information we do not intentionally collect for advertising
MorrowApp does not currently use third-party advertising SDKs, behavioral advertising, or cross-app tracking. We do not sell personal information.
4. How we use information
We use personal information for purposes such as:
- creating, authenticating, maintaining, and securing accounts;
- enforcing age eligibility and account rules;
- providing profiles, posts, feeds, discovery, comments, likes, saves, sharing, reposting, following, subscriptions, and other social features;
- uploading, storing, resizing, processing, transcoding, delivering, and caching images and videos;
- personalizing or organizing feed content based on topics of interest, follows, seen posts, privacy settings, and interactions;
- supporting profile privacy settings and content-access controls;
- detecting, reviewing, and responding to reports, abuse, spam, harmful content, fraud, unauthorized access, and security incidents;
- enforcing our Terms, community rules, and other policies;
- responding to support, legal, safety, and privacy requests;
- maintaining logs, debugging errors, monitoring reliability, and improving the security and operation of the Service;
- complying with applicable law, court orders, enforceable legal process, and platform requirements.
We do not use personal information for third-party advertising, ad tracking, or the sale of personal information.
5. Legal bases for processing where applicable
Where laws such as the European Union General Data Protection Regulation or the United Kingdom GDPR apply, we rely on one or more legal bases depending on the information and purpose involved, including:
- performance of a contract, where processing is necessary to provide the account and Service you request;
- legitimate interests, such as securing the Service, preventing abuse and fraud, maintaining reliability, enforcing rules, and protecting users, where those interests are not overridden by applicable rights;
- consent, where we specifically ask for consent and applicable law requires or permits reliance on consent;
- legal obligations, where processing is necessary to comply with law or enforceable legal requirements;
- protection of vital interests or other lawful bases, where applicable in exceptional safety or emergency circumstances.
6. How information is shared
6.1 Other users and the public
Your username, display name, profile information, avatar, posts, comments, visible interactions, and other content may be visible to other users or the public depending on your privacy settings, account type, and the feature used.
Private profile settings are designed to limit who can access content through the Service, but no privacy setting can guarantee that an authorized viewer will not screenshot, record, copy, download, reproduce, or share content outside MorrowApp.
6.2 Service providers and infrastructure
We use service providers and infrastructure partners to operate MorrowApp. Depending on the services in use, personal information may be processed by providers including:
- Clerk, for authentication, account management, password handling, sessions, and related identity services;
- Amazon Web Services (AWS), for backend hosting, databases, storage, media/object storage, caching, and related infrastructure;
- Cloudflare, where used for DNS, traffic routing, security, content delivery, tunneling, or related network and web infrastructure.
These providers may process information such as account identifiers, IP addresses, network requests, authentication information, application data, media, logs, or other information reasonably necessary to provide their services to MorrowApp.
6.3 Platform providers
If you download or use MorrowApp through Apple's App Store or another platform, that platform provider may independently process information about your use of its platform, device, purchases, downloads, diagnostics, or related services according to its own terms and privacy policy. MorrowApp does not control independent processing performed by platform providers outside MorrowApp's own systems.
6.4 Legal, safety, and protection reasons
We may disclose information where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:
- comply with applicable law, court orders, legal process, or enforceable government requests;
- enforce our Terms, this Privacy Policy, community rules, or other policies;
- protect users, the public, MorrowApp, or others from harm, fraud, spam, abuse, threats, security incidents, or unlawful activity;
- investigate reports, rights complaints, content violations, or suspected misconduct;
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
6.5 Business transfers
If MorrowApp is transferred to a corporation, merged, sold, reorganized, financed, or otherwise involved in a business transaction, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction where permitted by law. The receiving party will be required to handle personal information consistently with applicable law and this Privacy Policy, unless users are given legally required notice of a different treatment.
6.6 No sale of personal information and no third-party advertising
We do not sell personal information. We do not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use third-party advertising SDKs or ad-tracking technologies in the app.
7. Storage, security, and media delivery
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, loss, alteration, or destruction. These measures may include authentication, access controls, infrastructure security, logging, and other safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and the Service.
Public or user-visible media, such as avatars, photos, videos, previews, and thumbnails, may be stored in object storage and delivered through content-delivery or cached media URLs. Depending on the feature and access controls used, a person who can lawfully access media may be able to copy, screenshot, record, download, or share it outside MorrowApp.
No internet service or storage system is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, loss, misuse, interception, alteration, or disclosure will never occur.
8. Retention and account deletion
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing and securing MorrowApp, preventing fraud and abuse, resolving disputes, enforcing our Terms and community rules, complying with legal obligations, and protecting users and the Service.
8.1 Immediate in-app account deletion
You may delete your MorrowApp account directly through the account settings available in the app.
When you confirm account deletion, MorrowApp immediately deletes the account-associated personal information, User Content records, relationships, interactions, and other account data stored in MorrowApp's active primary application database, except for limited information that we are required or permitted to retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, abuse-prevention, dispute-resolution, enforcement, or other legitimate purposes permitted by applicable law.
The authentication account associated with your MorrowApp account is also deleted through our authentication provider as part of the account-deletion flow.
Where account-associated media or other personal information is stored outside the active primary application database and remains under MorrowApp's control, it will be deleted or de-identified as part of the applicable deletion process or according to an applicable deletion schedule, except where continued retention is required or permitted by law.
Deletion from the active primary database does not necessarily remove residual copies immediately from encrypted backups, temporary caches, content-delivery-network caches, security logs, moderation records, abuse-prevention records, disaster-recovery systems, or third-party systems. Such residual copies may remain for a limited period until they are overwritten, expired, deleted, or otherwise handled according to applicable retention schedules, legal requirements, and security needs.
Residual copies retained solely for backup, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or disaster recovery are not intended to be returned to ordinary active use except where reasonably necessary for those purposes.
Information that has been effectively anonymized so that it can no longer reasonably be associated with an identifiable individual may be retained.
Content that another user independently copied, downloaded, screenshotted, recorded, reposted, or shared outside MorrowApp may remain outside our control after account deletion.
8.2 Other retention practices
Subject to account deletion and applicable law:
- account information is retained while the account remains active;
- User Content and interaction data are retained while reasonably necessary to provide the Service or until deleted through available app functionality or account deletion;
- reports, moderation records, safety records, and enforcement history may be retained where reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, prevent repeated violations, protect users, enforce our rules, resolve disputes, or comply with law;
- security, technical, diagnostic, and request logs are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, debugging, reliability, legal compliance, or related operational purposes;
- backups are retained and overwritten or deleted according to applicable backup and disaster-recovery schedules.
You may contact privacy@mrrwapp.com with questions about account deletion or retention.
9. Your choices and privacy rights
You can update certain account and profile information directly through the app. You can also delete content, such as posts or comments, through available app features.
You may delete your entire MorrowApp account directly through the account settings in the app. When account deletion is confirmed, the deletion process described in Section 8 applies.
Depending on where you live and the laws that apply to you, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including the right to:
- request access to personal information we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information;
- request deletion of personal information;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, subject to applicable legal and contractual limitations;
- object to or request restriction of certain processing where applicable;
- request a copy or portability of certain personal information where applicable;
- ask how your personal information has been used or disclosed where applicable;
- raise a complaint with MorrowApp or an applicable privacy or data-protection regulator.
To make a privacy request or ask a privacy question, contact privacy@mrrwapp.com.
We may need to take reasonable steps to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests. Some rights may be subject to exceptions, limitations, retention requirements, or lawful refusals under applicable law, including where information is reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, enforcement of our Terms, or protection of another person's rights.
Where legally required, we will respond to privacy requests within the time prescribed by applicable law.
10. Children and age eligibility
MorrowApp is not directed to children under 16, and users must be at least 16 years old to create or maintain a MorrowApp account. We use date-of-birth information to enforce this age requirement.
If we learn that a person under 16 has created an account or that we have collected personal information from a person under 16 contrary to our eligibility requirements, we will take reasonable steps to disable or delete the account and delete the associated personal information, subject to any limited retention required or permitted by applicable law.
If you believe a person under 16 has provided personal information to MorrowApp, contact privacy@mrrwapp.com.
11. International processing and transfers
MorrowApp may process and store personal information in Canada, the United States, and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Privacy and data-protection laws in those places may differ from the laws where you live.
Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers of personal information, we use or rely on an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism as applicable, which may include adequacy decisions, contractual safeguards, or another mechanism recognized by applicable law.
Information processed by service providers may be subject to lawful access by courts, law-enforcement authorities, or government authorities in the jurisdictions where the information is processed or stored.
12. Additional information for users in the EEA, United Kingdom, and similar jurisdictions
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar data-protection laws apply, the operator identified in Section 2 acts as the controller of personal information collected through MorrowApp, except where another party independently determines the purposes and means of its own processing.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights including access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, and the right to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority.
Where processing is based on consent, withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before withdrawal. Where processing is based on legitimate interests, you may have the right to object based on your particular situation, subject to applicable legal exceptions.
For questions or requests concerning these rights, contact privacy@mrrwapp.com.
13. Complaints and questions
If you have a concern about how MorrowApp handles personal information, please contact privacy@mrrwapp.com. We will review privacy complaints and respond as reasonably appropriate and as required by applicable law.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to an applicable privacy or data-protection regulator.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at https://mrrwapp.com/privacy or another clearly identified location.
If changes are material, we may provide additional notice in the app or by other reasonable means. Where applicable law requires consent for a material new use or disclosure of personal information, we will seek that consent before the new processing applies.
